😳 How to charge $10,000 for 3 blog posts

In the latest episode of the How the Fxck SEO Podcast, host Ben speaks to Benji from Grow and Convert.

G&C are a B2B SEO agency that focus on creating bottom of funnel (BoFu) content for clients based on a combination of 1-hour interviews with team members and high-intent keyword strategies.*

For this service, they charge $10,000 per month and produce 3 blog posts per client.

Yes, that’s $3,333 per blog post. 🙀

Obviously, they work with big companies for whom a single lead or conversion is worth many thousands of dollars.

If you’re a writer or content agency, this is an essential listen to understand high-level, intent-driven content strategies.

If you’re a B2B or B2C company, listen to learn how you should be approaching content (hint: ignore traffic, it’s nothing more than a vanity metric).

💡 Key takeaway:

In the interview, Benji claims they consistently struggle to find good writers for their agency.

They’re currently hiring. And I believe they pay $500+ per blog post.

Write two blog posts a week, and you’re earning $4k per month easily.

*If you have no idea what any of that paragraph means, get in touch, and I’ll explain. 😉

🤑 How to make $1m in your first 30 days of business

Speaking of agencies making crazy money….

ViralCuts is a small marketing agency that creates virality-focused, short-form videos for big-name brands and creators to publish on TikTok and Instagram.

They launched earlier this year, and the founder, Hunter Hammond, claims they booked $1,000,000 of work in their first 30 days.

Their clients include many people you probably know: Sam Parr (My First Million), Codie Sanchez (Contrarian Thinking), Dan Koe (Linkedin Guy), and Sahil Bloom (Another Linkedin Guy).

To the best of my knowledge, Hunter was mentored or sponsored by Sam Parr and Codie Sanchez, who helped him launch the agency. However, most of the story is being shared on Twitter.

As you may know, without a Twitter account, you can no longer view anything on the site.

And I’m not opening a Twitter account just for this…

eBiz Facts breaks everything down. But again, you’ll need a Twitter account to see the full content.

🤖 This Week in AI

Niche Website Builders – a popular content agency for small, SEO-focused website owners that recently changed its name– has gone into administration. Basically, they’re bankrupt, and they’re blaming AI, claiming its caused a 70% reduction in their revenue and forced them to lay off 170 staff.

Obviously, 170 people losing their jobs is unfortunate.

But, there might be more to the story…

For one, John Doherty from EditorNinja claims: “We've seen marketing budgets get cut because of the broader economy, but I've heard of very few freelancers losing clients to AI (it's happened, but rare).

The truth is… Niche Website Builders was a content farm hiring entry-level writers and expecting them to churn out 5,000+ words of crap every day. I know, because I considered hiring them once.

❌ So, if you work at an agency focused on quantity over quality, your job is at risk from AI.

✅ But, if you work with agencies and clients that focus on well-written, original content and value the work you produce, your marketing job is secure (for now).

🤖

The Neuron Daily – one of the best daily AI newsletters – just launched a free course:

As per the release email: “This is for anyone who isn’t already using ChatGPT regularly. We’ll help you start using ChatGPT to write emails, summarize documents, and clean data.”

🤖

Is AI already eating itself?

This is the question posed on a recent Hard Fork podcast episode and MIT Technology Review article.

In sum, AI could already account for 33-46% of new content and work being published, shared, and submitted online.

This is causing AI models to cannibalize themselves… which could lead to them eventually imploding (yes, really). 💣

But in the short term, this AI cannibalization means the internet is already awash with lousy content, incorrect data, and broken models.

The good news?

👆🏻 See above plenty of agencies and publishers paying good rates to writers using original research and producing high-quality content.

👇🏻 And see below for plenty of writing, content, and marketing jobs currently hiring.
