Our New Format(s)
Before April this year, I had never sent a single newsletter or marketing email.
I’m an SEO and long-form content guy.
So, I started Business Builders Africa as an experiment and an opportunity to learn something new.
It was only meant to be a bi-weekly job list for aspiring freelancers and remote workers in Africa. Our first email had 2 jobs. Our most recent recent had 159!
The newsletter content has also ballooned, morphing into something resembling a trade mag for African marketers.
Our weekly Monday emails are now too big for Gmail.
So. I’m experimenting with a new format.
The Monday email will be solely a weekly job list. We may also cut it down to just marketing jobs.
We’ll also be shifting focus to more blog content and deep dives. These will include:
A new occasional Friday email will contain 5 quick links and pieces of content to help you grow your online business.
Interviews with, and case studies of, successful bootstrapped African online businesses
A course hub with everything you need to learn online business skills
Honest reviews of tools, paid communities, etc.
How-to guides for online businesses and career paths.
Much more…
So, stick with us while we figure out the new format, and I promise you’ll be rewarded.

From Laid Off to $100k/year VA Agency in 2 Years

She started by taking Esther Inman’s 90 Day VA course and found her first client in 3 months.
Skip ahead 2 years, and Lianamar is running a 7-person VA agency, Lidavi Social, that makes over $100,000 a year from 9 clients.

Key Takeaway:
“Lianamar didn’t sit around waiting for a brilliant business idea to fall into her lap.
No: she started something fairly simple, put in the work consistently, and is now reaping the rewards 😍“
